So a very looooong time ago, I posted this fantastic teaser for Kat and Yosef’s wedding. Since March in the month of catching up, or so it seems, I thought what better way to start it off than to blog their wedding! One of the benefits of destination weddings for me as a photographer is the opportunities it allows for me to really get to know the community that surrounds my couple. I often have days to explore the dynamics between their friends and family and really immerse myself in who they are and how the present themselves. So when the wedding day rolls around, I truly am just a friend with a camera, and that allows me to get some pretty intimate shots. As well, I’m able to forge some pretty good relationships on my own. There were lots and lots of hugs when I departed with the Toronto contingent of the wedding party. I love my job.
The day I arrived I was able to meet up with Kat and her girlfriends and family for some favour assembly and a quick engagement session with her and Yosef around the resort.
Later that night there was a fantastic BBQ on the beach and a little pre-wedding partying. So much fun.
